Ancestrina is a therapeutic practice founded and sustained by Marcela G\u00f3mez and V\u00edctor Silva.<\/p>

We accompany individuals and couples, each drawing on our own experience and training, within a shared practice of listening, study and therapeutic work.<\/p>

Marcela G\u00f3mez is a therapist and cofounder of Ancestrina.<\/p>

She sustains the project\u2019s therapeutic work and participates in the processes we accompany, bringing her own path, training and way of practising.<\/p>

Different ways of working coexist at Ancestrina, guided by a shared disposition: to pause before reaching a conclusion, attend to the specific conditions of each situation and revisit the explanations we form about what we live through.<\/p>

Therapy, study, clinical development and content serve different purposes and have different scopes.<\/p>

A therapeutic process calls for a particular encounter with a person or a couple. An article, a conversation or a book can open questions, develop an idea or help someone see a situation from another angle.<\/p>

MAT is a clinical approach in development for understanding how a person organizes their experience, how they participate in what they are living through and what real possibilities for change exist within their specific circumstances.<\/p>

V\u00edctor Silva\u2019s published books are part of this editorial work from another area: Rap\u00e9 and ancestral medicines.<\/p>

Each format makes something different possible. A conversation can help someone recognize a question. A text can offer time to sit with it. A book can accompany a longer reflection.<\/p>

The ancestral dimension is part of Ancestrina\u2019s history.<\/p>

Work involving Rap\u00e9 and ancestral medicines has been part of that path and continues to have its own place within the project, alongside content and books related to those experiences.<\/p>

Today, those roots coexist with a broader therapeutic practice and the development of other ways of thinking and accompanying people.<\/p>
