FIRST BOOK IN SPANISH ABOUT RAPÉ · ANCESTRINA
VICTOR SILVA

El llamado del Rapé

A SACRED BREATH TO HEAL THE WOUNDS OF YOUR SOUL
Three decades walking alongside Indigenous communities, elders and the medicine of rapé, brought together in the first complete book in Spanish about this sacred medicine. It is not a manual. It is a living story of transformation.

The medicine needed bridges. And I understood that my mission was to be that bridge, to share the healing power of rapé and allow others to experience its transformation.
WHO THIS BOOK IS FOR

You hear the call.
But do you know what to do with it?

01

If you are curious about rapé

and you do not know where to begin, what it really is, what effects it has, or how to approach it consciously and responsibly.

02

If you already use rapé

but want to go deeper: understand its ancestral origins, lineages, the spiritual meaning of each blend, and how to integrate the experience.

03

If you are in a healing process

and are looking for tools that go beyond conventional therapy: something that works with what lies beneath, not only with outward forms.

04

If you accompany others with ancestral medicines

and want to understand ethics, responsibility, and what it truly means to hold someone through a sacred process.

05

If you feel the emptiness behind success

and something tells you the answer is not in more achievements, but in reconnecting with something more essential and true.

06

If the call arrived without you looking for it

and you want to understand what it means, how to discern it, and how to respond with respect and awareness.

“I felt a voice that I did not hear with my ears, but with my heart. The voice said to me: I need bridges.”

— VÍCTOR SILVA, CHAPTER 1
This is not a book of recipes or protocols. It does not tell you which rapé to buy, how to mix it, or how many blows to take. There is plenty of that on the internet, and that is not where transformation comes from.

What you will find here is what can only come from thirty years of direct presence: in ceremonies, in Indigenous communities, beside elders in Peru, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. Having been on both sides of the tepi: as the one who searched and as the one who held space.

It is also the first complete book in Spanish about rapé. A medicine that, because of its traditional context, is only beginning to become known outside the Indigenous territories that safeguard it.

What rapé is, how it acts, what distinguishes it from other medicines, and why it is much more than a blend of plants.

Víctor
Silva

FOUNDER OF ANCESTRINA · 2012 MORE THAN 30 YEARS WITH ANCESTRAL MEDICINES CERTIFIED KAMBÓ FACILITATOR SAT PROGRAM · CLAUDIO NARANJO COLOMBIA · BRAZIL · PERU · MEXICO
Raised between the rainforest of Florencia, Caquetá, and the urban chaos of Cali, Víctor Silva grew up in an environment marked by violence, addiction and uprooting. At fifteen he had his first experience with yagé. He came to rapé with fear, left it behind for years, and encountered it again —in a different way— in a pine forest in Mexico, at five in the morning, at two degrees Celsius.

From then on he devoted decades to walking alongside the Indigenous communities that safeguard this medicine: Wixárika communities, Amazonian peoples, Seri people, and pajés in Brazil and Peru. He did not learn by accumulating techniques. He learned by being there. Being silent when silence was called for. Asking when he did not understand. Including his own process as part of the learning.

In 2012 he founded Ancestrina in Bogotá, the first space in Colombia dedicated exclusively to accompaniment with rapé. Today Ancestrina sends the medicine around the world and accompanies each person who receives it, because delivering the medicine without supporting the process is not, for Víctor, doing the work.
